Located in a great spot in Hye, TX the Mierschin family and set out to grow great grapes, produce exceptional wine and develop a welcoming venue to enjoy wine with others. They opened our tasting room in December 2023 and have been producing wine since 2020. You’ll often see Janet & Mark taking care of guests in their tasting room.

“We are a boutique family owned and operated winery in Hye, Texas. We grow exceptional grapes, produce high quality wines, and provide a relaxing place to enjoy wine with friends, new and old. Portree is a quaint village in Scotland where our family vacationed and hatched our winery plan. The name brings back warm memories of time with loved ones – the atmosphere we want to create for you.

We grow Tannat, Fiano, Touriga Nacional, Mourvedre, Aglianico, and Malvasia Bianca on our property in Hye. We also buy grapes from the highest quality Texas vineyards in the Hill Country and High Plains. We are committed to producing wines with 100% Texas grapes – always!”
